Mauricio G. V. Ferreira is the coordinator and researcher of the Satellite Tracking and Control Center at INPE. He holds a degree in Data Processing from the Faculty of Administration and Informatics (1987), a degree in Business Administration from Maria Augusta Faculty (1993), a master's degree in Applied Computing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) (1996), and a Ph.D. in Applied Computing from INPE (2001). He is a Full Professor in the Post-Graduate Program in Space Engineering and Technology (ETE) at INPE, with a concentration area in Space Systems Engineering and Management. He is the Brazilian representative on the International Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) for software standardization. He is a member of the organizing committee of the international SpaceOps conference. He has produced over 180 articles, supervised 20 Ph.D. students, 31 master's students, and 2 postdoctoral researchers. Currently, he advises 4 Ph.D. students and 5 master's students. His research focuses on software development for satellite control. He is also a scientific advisor for FAPESP in the area of Software Engineering.
