Bachelor in Geography from the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG), Specialist in Planning and Management of Protected Natural Areas from the Federal Institute of Southeast Minas Gerais (IFSUDESTERE-MG), Master and Doctor in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). He has experience in remote sensing applied to agricultural and environmental themes. He was an intern at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA - CNPTIA Unit, currently EMBRAPA Digital Agriculture). He worked on mapping the remnants of native vegetation in Brazil for the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), a partnership between UFLA, the Ministry of the Environment, currently the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, and the Brazilian Forest Service. He was a postdoctoral researcher in the Earth Observation and Geoinformatics Division of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP). He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering (DEB) of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FCE) of the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), Campus Tupã. He works with the application of remote sensing techniques and analysis of Earth observation time series for the spectral characterization of crops and natural phytophysiognomies of the Cerrado biome, focusing on monitoring. He is a collaborating researcher at the Interdisciplinary Group for Technological Innovation and Sustainability - GIITS (UNESP), the Brazil Data Cube Project (INPE), the Agricultural Remote Sensing Lab (INPE), and the Geoinformatics and Big Data Science Lab - GeoBIDS (INPE), and Editor Associate of the Brazilian Journal of Biosystems Engineering (BIOENG).
