Birthplace: Brazil

I am currently a collaborative researcher at the National Laboratory of Biorenewables (LNBR) within the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), under the supervision of Dr. Nádia Sampaio, supported by a FAPESP Level 4 Technical Training Fellowship (TT-IV). My research project focuses on protein biochemistry related to the production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid by Saccharomyces cerevisiae. During my undergraduate studies, I interned at CNPEM and also conducted my Scientific Initiation project there. Previously, I was supervised by Dr. Elizabeth Bilsland and developed a short project aimed at identifying yeast transporters through the treatment with specific fluorescent compounds. As part of this project, I spent six weeks at the University of Liverpool under the guidance of Dr. Douglas Kell, where I learned key techniques such as Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting (FACS). My areas of interest include synthetic biology and microbial platforms for industrial applications. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
