Birthplace: Brazil

She holds a degree in Food Sciences from the "Luiz de Queiroz" School of Agriculture - ESALQ/USP, a Master in Sciences in the area of Chemistry in Agriculture and the Environment from the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture - CENA/USP, and a Ph.D. in Sciences from the same Center. During her Ph.D., she had the opportunity to perform a sandwich at the University of Aberdeen for six months (April-September 2017, through the CAPES / PDSE scholarship. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro-UFRJ, with a NOTE 10 scholarship from FAPERJ. She is doing postdoctoral research at the Institute of Chemistry at Unicamp with a FAPESP scholarship. She works mainly on the following topics: food safety, arsenic in rice, speciation, arsenic speciation, chemical composition, inorganic chemistry, reference and certification material, analytical quality, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), liquid chromatography (HPLC), HPLC-ICP-MS, gas chromatography coupled to the mass spectrometer (GC-MS), instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA), rice, tomato, bean, orange juice, and nectar, the chemical composition of food, the centesimal composition of food, toxic metals in nutrition, food quality, food safety, development of analytical methods, inorganics. Her current project aims to understand how gold, silver, and silica nanoparticles, applied to soybean callus culture in vitro, affect the production of metabolites by these cells.
