Graduated in Biological Sciences with a Bachelor's degree emphasizing biotechnology from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), with a Master's degree in Biosciences and Biotechnology from the State University of the North Fluminense (UENF), a Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology (UENF), and a postdoctoral fellowship from the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (USP), in the Department of Biochemistry. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Chemistry and Protein and Peptide Function (LQFPP) at the Center of Biosciences and Biotechnology at UENF. Works with plant tissue culture applied to species of commercial interest and the development of genetically modified microorganisms aiming at the expression of heterologous proteins. In addition, it uses molecular biology tools such as chromatography and mass spectrometry for proteomic and metabolomic analyses, seeking to improve the understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in the production of biocompounds of biotechnological interest.
