Bianca Novaes da Silva

Graduated in Biotechnology from the Federal University of São Carlos - Araras campus (2021). CNPq scholarship holder and collaborating researcher at the National Biosciences Laboratory (CNPEM-Campinas). She carries out research unraveling the impact of mutations detected in the glutaminase enzyme on tumors. He has experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR, bacterial transformation, nucleic acid extraction), enzyme purification and characterization (e.g. thermophoresis, Thermal Shift, Dynamic Light Scattering), and mammalian cell cultivation and assays. She was a member of the first CNPEM.BRAZIL team participating in the international synthetic biology competition, iGEM Desing League (2021), and monitors in the Molecular Biology for Biotechnology discipline (2019). She served as director of people management and member of the junior company Sustec (2017-2019). She participated in the Bioinformatics Study Group (2017-2018). She carried out scientific initiation (2019-2020), investigating the antimicrobial action of Citrus reticulata essential oil on ethanol fermentation contaminants and phytopathogenic fungi, where she gained experience in basic and applied microbiology techniques.
