Biomedical scientist graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with a master's and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Carlos Chagas Filho Institute of Biophysics (IBCCF-UFRJ), under the supervision of Professors Claudia Domingues Vargas and Fátima Smith Erthal. Completed a doctoral research internship at the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM) in Lyon, France, under the supervision of Professor Karen T. Reilly. Former FAPESP postdoctoral fellow at the Research, Innovation, and Dissemination Center for Neuromathematics (NeuroMat) at the University of São Paulo (USP). Currently a FAPERJ postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Neurosciences and Rehabilitation (LabNeR) at UFRJ.
