bachelor's at Engenharia Elétrica from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1986), master's at Electric Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1990) and doctorate at Engenharia Elétrica from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (1994). He is currently full professor at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Has experience in Electric Engineering, focusing on Eletromagnetica Theory, Microwaves, Propagation of Waves, Antennas, acting on the following subjects: electromagnetics, finite element method, optimization, numerical methods and shape optimisation.
