I have a degree in Chemistry (Bachelor, 2013) and a Master's degree in Science (2016) and a PhD in Science, all from FFCLRP - University of São Paulo. I worked under the supervision of Professor Dr. Pietro Ciancaglini in the laboratory "Applied Nanobiotechnology: Biomembrane Mimetic Systems", where I worked mainly on the following subjects: Solubilization of the enzyme Na,K-ATPase (NKA), analysis of the formation of solubilized NKA oligomers, reconstitution of NKA in proteoliposomes of different compositions and analysis of liposomes and proteoliposomes by Atomic Force Microscopy and other biochemical and biophysical techniques used in order to understand the lipid-protein and protein-protein interactions of NKA. Recently, between 2019 and 2020, I was a sandwich doctoral student under the PRINT-INTERNATIONALIZATION INSTITUTIONAL PROGRAM, sponsored by CAPES and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Rene Buchet. During this period, I carried out part of my doctoral project entitled "Phosphatase activity of enzymes involved in the biomineralization process" where I specialized in the extraction of bone matrix vesicles (MVs) from chicken embryos and used the VMs as base material for the test of enzymatic activity of phosphatases (such as TNAP), and ATPases (such as NKA) and other enzymes using specific inhibitors to identify the influence of each enzyme on the total hydrolysis of ATP, and consequently, their contributions to in vitro mineralization. For this matters, spectroscopic techniques such as UV-VIS and 31-P NMR, ATR-FTIR were used. I am currently developing the extraction, isolation and characterization of extracellular proteins that form the protein crown of MVs, and also extracellular vesicles not adhered to the cartilaginous matrix.
