Leandro Augusto Faustino

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry (2016), a Master's degree in Chemistry (2018), and a PhD in Chemistry (2022) from the Federal University of Uberlândia. During his PhD, he completed a research internship at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) United States, under the supervision of Dr. Javier J. Concepcion. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of São Paulo (USP) and is also conducting a postdoctoral research internship at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) Germany, under the supervision of Dr. Franziska Emmerling. He has experience in Inorganic Photochemistry, focusing on the study of excited states and photoisomerization mechanisms in coordination compounds. He also has experience in photocatalysis and electrocatalysis involving coordination compounds. His current main interest lies in studying the photochemical, photophysical, electrochemical, and electrochemistry enhanced by localized surface plasmon resonance of inorganic materials, aiming at catalytic applications such as the activation of molecules like N2 and CO2.
