Birthplace: Brazil

Assistant Professor at Department of Chemical Engineering (PQI) and the Program of Postgraduate Degree in Chemical Engineering (PEQ) at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (EPUSP), Polytechnique School (EP), of University of São Paulo (USP). He holds a Bachelors degree (UFSM, 2007), a Masters degree (Unicamp, 2009), and Doctors degree (Unicamp, 2017) in Chemical Engineering. He was a visiting scholar (2025) in the Brennecke Group at the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Texas at Austin. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship (20222024) in CO#8322; and CH#8324; high-pressure absorption technology using ionic liquids at the High-Pressure Laboratory (PQI/EPUSP). He worked as a contracted Chemical Engineer for the Petrobras Project (20122021) at the Laboratory of Adsorption and Ion Exchange at the State University of Maringá (DEQ/UEM), where he worked with high-pressure adsorption technologies for H#8322;S, CO#8322;, and CH#8324; using zeolites, activated carbons, MOFs, and PAFs. He worked with liquidliquid extraction technology (2010-2017), addressing the following topics: (a) partitioning of biomolecules in polymersalt aqueous two-phase systems; (b) use of ionic liquids for diesel oil desulfurization; (c) application of different solvents for the removal of phenol, furfural, acetic acid, acrylic acid, and lactic acid from aqueous mixtures; (d) determination of excess thermophysical properties and apparent volume of DBTs in alkanes. During his undergraduate research projects (20042006), he worked on solar energy potential assessment via PAR radiation, and on the production of silicates and silica gel using agro-industrial waste. He interned in the areas of water and wastewater treatment (2005) and metallurgy (2006). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
