Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Biociências (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

M.Sc. student (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development-CNPq scholarship 131395/2023-8) at the Department of Botany, Institute of Biosciences, University of São Paulo (USP). B.Sc. in Biological Sciences (2023) from USP. Carried out undergraduate research projects at the Laboratory of Regulatory Systems Biology (Institute of Chemistry-USP/Centre for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture-USP) and at the Laboratory of Plant Molecular Biology (Institute of Biosciences-USP). The latter project received funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP project 2022/02633-0). Has experience in bioinformatics, with emphasis on promoter analysis and reanalysis of "omics" data. Is also familiar with molecular biology techniques in general. Acted on the following subjects: (1) Study of the regulation of gene expression under nitrogen deprivation in the model microalga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, focusing on stress-induced lipid accumulation phenotypes; (2) Study of the rice transcriptome response to heat stress, focusing on its regulation by alternative splicing and epigenetic factors. Currently working on the development of rice genetic transformation protocols to obtain overexpression and CRISPR/Cas9-edited lines for functional characterisation studies.
