I am Felipe Pedrazzi, a Brazilian biologist and entrepreneur focused on composting and odor management. Since 2021, I have coordinated initiatives aimed at sustainable practices in organic waste management, and I currently serve as president of the Brazilian Composting Association (AB|COMPOSTAGEM). My academic background includes a degree in Biological Sciences from PUC-SP (2005), a Masters in Regional Geology from UNESP (2008)with research on water quality in the Itupararanga Reservoirand a PhD in Geosciences and Environment from the same institution (2013), during which I developed a methodology for assessing environmental performance in gated horizontal condominiums.Throughout my career, I founded and led companies such as Pé de Planta, Faz Verde, SmartCompost, Força Orgânica, and Céu Azul Resíduos, always seeking innovative solutions to make composting processes more efficient and less impactful. In SmartCompost, for example, we developed a patented system that uses IoT sensors to monitor, in real time, critical parameters of compost piles and atmospheric conditions, allowing us to optimize aeration, reduce odors, and accelerate compost maturation.I am also a member of the United States Composting Council (USCC), where I have chaired the Professional Training Committee. Additionally, I manage a composting operation in the interior of São Paulo that processes around 24,000 tons of waste per year. My participation in international events and conferences underscores my commitment to spreading advanced composting and odor management practices both in Brazil and abroad.
