Marcela Noronha Pinto de Oliveira e Sousa

Currently the Executive Manager for Science and Technology at the Center for Studies on Knowledge- and Innovation-Based Urban Development at the University of Campinas (CEUCI/UNICAMP) and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Engineering, Architecture and Urban Design at UNICAMP in the interdisciplinary research project Knowledge-based areas in urban fringes: Guidelines for sustainable implementation with the support of information modeling. In September 2022 I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Polytechnic School at the University of São Paulo in the research and development project for an Integrated protocol for Heritage Building Information Modeling documentation and Digital Twin development for the management, conservation and dissemination of the Republican Museum Convenção de Itu. I completed my Ph.D. in Architecture, Technology and City in May 2021 with a thesis on parametric scenario modeling for urban mobility. I was a visiting scholar at the Stuckeman Center for Design Computing (SCDC) at Penn State University, USA, between 2018 and 2019. My research resulted in international publications and a filled patent for a Street Mapping Evaluation Method with a Method for Calculating Area Distribution on a Street Map, and a Computer Readable Medium. Additionally, I hold a Bachelors Degree in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Campinas, and a Masters Degree from the same University. I have teaching experience in graduate and undergraduate courses in different Universities focusing on City, Building, and Heritage Information Modeling (CIM, BIM and HBIM), Architecture and Urban Design.
