Conducts research in macroecology, conservation biogeography, and global change biology. Serves on the editorial boards of the journals Ecology and Evolution and PLOS Climate, and is an ad hoc reviewer for numerous journals, including Nature, Methods in Ecology and Evolution, Global Ecology and Biogeography, Ecography, New Phytologist, Journal of Ecology, Biological Conservation, among others.
