Birthplace: Brazil

Undergraduate student in Agronomic Engineering at the University of Araraquara (Uniara), with research experience in citrus production and agricultural disease management.Currently, I serve as a Field/Lab Research Assistant at the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) at the University of Florida, under the supervision of Dr. Ute Albrecht, contributing to research focused on sustainable agriculture and scientific innovation. My responsibilities include practical field activities, laboratory data analysis, and supporting projects that directly impact the agricultural sector. My objective in this project is to enhance my skills in agricultural production systems and plant physiological methodologies, with an emphasis on citrus cultivation in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings. I aim to develop a deeper understanding of citrus scion and rootstock varieties, tools for managing Huanglongbing (HLB), as well as refining experimental design, statistical analysis, and data presentation.During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to work as a CNPq/Embrapa research fellow at Fundecitrus (July 2024 - December 2024), where I had the privilege of working under the supervision of the renowned Dr. Eduardo Augusto Girardi and Dr. Renato Beozzo Bassanezi, with direct guidance from Dr. Eduardo Augusto Girardi. The main objective of the project was to evaluate the potential of different HLB-resistant accessions as rootstocks for Valencia sweet orange, aiming to elucidate their efficacy in restricting bacterial titer and distribution, as well as validating their capacity to mitigate the damages caused by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas).Additionally, I worked as a FAPESP research fellow at Fundecitrus (October 2022 - March 2024), under the supervision of Dr. Eduardo Augusto Girardi and Dr. Renato Beozzo Bassanezi, with direct guidance from Dr. Deived Uilian Carvalho. My project focused on the characterization of shoot maturation in two varieties of sweet orange trees, analyzing the impact of different pruning times and irrigation regimes. The goal was to develop strategies to mitigate the effects of the psyllidHLB's insect vectorwhile optimizing orchard production. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
