Zacarias Chambe (Tsambe) has a Bachelor's degree (2009) and Degree (2011) in Teaching African History and a Master's degree (2016) in Political Science and African Studies from the Pedagogical University of Mozambique. He has a PhD (2021) in Social Sciences from the State University of Campinas, Brazil. He was Assistant Professor in the area of Anthropological Theory I and II and Anthropology and History of Contemporary Africa at the Pedagogical University of Mozambique (2012 to 2018). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Universidade Rovuma (UniRovuma), Cabo Delgado- Mozambique, working in the postgraduate programs in History, Anthropology and Sociology, in addition to being a researcher at the Center for Mozambican Studies (CEMO). He has been a post-doctoral student in the Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences at the Federal University of São Paulo since 2022, where he also teaches the Discipline of "State and Violence in Contemporary Africa", and acting as an associate researcher in the research project "Memory, Differences and Relations", financed by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). He was a Fellow at the Escola Doutoral Fábrica de Ideias at UFBA (2018) and at the CES Summer School at Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal (2019). He is an associate researcher at the Center for Migration Studies (CEMI) and at the Center for Rural Studies (CERES) at Unicamp and a Member of the African Studies Committee of the Brazilian Anthropology Association (ABA). He has ethnographic experience on social inequalities and autochthony with covered communities by small and large mining projects and with populations displaced by armed violence in the far north of Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. He also carried out field research in small-scale mining areas in Mbeya and Shinyanga (Tanzania) and Macapá (Amapá, Brazil) and in historical archives in Lisbon and Portugal. He is part of the Editorial Board of the Kulambela and Osuwela Magazines at Rovuma University, Mozambique. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
