Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Biociências (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am currently an undergraduate student at the Institute of Biosciences at the University of São Paulo (IB/USP) and a member of the Collectives for Anthropology, Environment, and Biotechnodiversity (CHAMA/USP) and IB Mulheres. My main professional interest lies in the interdisciplinary approach to complex socio-environmental phenomena, with a focus on Biology, Anthropology, Archaeology, and Education. My experience includes working as a FAPESP-funded Scientific Initiation fellow at the Active Vision Laboratory, a CAPES-funded fellow in the Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID/USP) Biology Subproject, and as a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses. Additionally, I served as a student representative on the University Council of USP and the IB Congregation, as well as vice-president and Politics Secretary of the Biology Student Union Paulista Society of Natural History (CABio-SPHN). I have also participated in organizing scientific outreach events and moderating roundtable discussions, activities that have reinforced the importance of interactions between academic and non-academic environments. For contact, I am available via email: mariaguimaraes@usp.br. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
