I am a biologist with a Masters and Ph.D. in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE Brazil), where I conducted research on the role of protected areas in fire occurrence across the Amazon Basin. Since 2023, I have been working as a researcher at the Amazon Environmental Research Institute (IPAM), serving as the operational coordinator of the Fire Management in the Amazon project, which aims to support the development and implementation of integrated fire management policies. My experience includes international collaborations on land use, deforestation, and environmental governance, with a strong focus on geospatial analysis, policy evaluation, and stakeholder engagement. I am particularly interested in public policy, fire governance, and strategies to reduce socio-environmental vulnerability in tropical regions. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
