Felipe Silva de França

I am a biologist graduated by the University of Guarulhos (2011), specialist (2014) and PhD (2021) both in Immunology by the Butantan Institute - SES-SP and Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo, respectively. Along my professional life I have worked in different professional areas within the major areas of Biological, Biomedical, Health and Education Sciences.Among the fields in which I have been an outstanding performance, the Biomedical research (Immunopathology) and clinical laboratory analysis/laboratory medicine (Immunopathology and Endocrinology) must be highlighted. In laboratory medicine, I had a strong professional performance on serological research, by using different immunochemical techniques, for the identification and quantification of autoantibodies, anti-infectious antibodies, anaphylactic/allergenic antibodies, inflammatory mediators, hormones, and tumor biomarkers.Currently, in scientific research, I have directed my investigations to the inflammation/inflammatory diseases field focusing on the influence of the Complement System and Inflammation in the pathogenesis of envenoming by different medically important species of venomous animals in Brazil, Africa and the Caribbean.I have expertise in different experimental techniques in vivo, in vitro and ex vivo, projects management, writing of projects and scientific articles.In addition to experience in biomedical research and clinical pathology, I have experienced the teaching in different levels, such as, in high school and universities (undergraduate and graduate) and in scientific dissemination and university extension courses.
