Karolini Tenffen de Sousa

I am graduated in Animal Science at the "Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC" (2017). During my undergraduate studies, I worked in the field of animal welfare and behavior, as a researcher in the "Laboratório de Etologia Aplicada e Bem-estar Animal - LETA", in Brazil, focusing on the evaluation of dairy cattle motivation kept under rotational. Then, I started a Masters at the same university (UFSC), addressing the effects of social behavior on the access of a feed resource and colostrum quality. In 2022 I finished my PhD in Animal Science at the "Universidade Federal do Paraná - UFPR". My thesis focused on evaluating the perspective of the actors involved in the animal production chain and the relationship between tree arrangement and the effect of thermal comfort on the behavior of dairy cows raised on pasture. My main research experiences and interests include animal welfare, applied ethology and environment with a focus on grass-fed animal production. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
