Herman Augusto Lepikson

Mechanical Engineer from the Federal University of Bahia, with a specialization in Economic Engineering from PUC-MG (Don Cabral Foundation), master's and doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Associate Professor at the Federal University of Bahia, retired in 2013. He structured and coordinated LAMI Laboratory of Industrial Automation and Metrology and CTAI Center for Technological Training in Industrial Automation at UFBA. He was vice-director of the Polytechnic School of UFBA and continues to be active as a permanent professor of the graduate programs in Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering at UFBA. He was a DT-2 researcher at CNPq between 2010 and 2018. He is currently a Lead Researcher at the Senai Institute of Innovation in Logistics and Production Automation at Senai Cimatec and Full Professor at the Senai Cimatec University Center. His line of research is in the area of Intelligent Digital Manufacturing Integration, with emphasis on Product and Process Design and Integration with Cyber-Physical Systems, Special and Autonomous Robots, Digital Twins, Blockchain Applications and Process Intelligence with Deep and Machine Learning for applications in the manufacturing and healthcare industries.
