Birthplace: Brazil

I began my scientific career in the field of preclinical pharmacology of natural products, focusing on the inflammation subarea with emphasis on in vitro assays using primary cultures and cell lines. During my doctorate, I concentrated on understanding the immunopharmacological mechanisms of CO-releasing metal complexes in in vivo and in vitro models, while simultaneously developing studies on genetic polymorphisms in HIV+ patients.I joined the research specialist team at the Medical Investigation Laboratory (LIM19) of the University of São Paulo School of Medicine, where I developed and assisted in projects focused on immune response to SARS-CoV-2. During this period, I enhanced my knowledge and techniques related to cell culture, molecular biology, gene expression, and cellular immune response to vaccines, contributing to the first data on vaccine immune response in the Brazilian population.I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in immunology (FAPESP) focused on Th1 cell differentiation in patients with Chagas cardiomyopathy and indeterminate form of Chagas disease, including phenotypic, gene expression, and epigenetic analyses. I am a specialist in Bioinformatics applied to medical genetics from Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and currently work in the genomics field, focusing on targeted next-generation sequencing in tumor samples for diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic guidance.
