Currently, he is a researcher at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS/CNPEM), where he is part of the IPE beamline team. He holds a Ph.D., Master's, and Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). He completed a doctoral internship at Trinity College Dublin, in Ireland. He has experience in Physics and Scientific Instrumentation, with an emphasis on Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, working primarily on the following topics and techniques: production and characterization of magnetic, ferroelectric, superconducting, and multiferroic thin films; magnetism and magnetic materials; magnetoelectric coupling in composite nanostructures; X-ray diffraction and reflectometry; scanning probe microscopies; magnetometry and electronic transport measurements, X-ray spectroscopies, and synchrotron light techniques applied to surfaces and interfaces of multifunctional materials.
