I am a Ph.D. candidate in Tropical Forest Sciences at the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA), where I also earned a master's degree in the same field (2022). I hold a bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (2019). Currently, I conduct my doctoral research with a scholarship from the Amazonas Research Foundation (FAPEAM). My dissertation, titled "Projections for the Expansion of the Amazon Frontier: Simulation of Deforestation and Forest Degradation under Future Climate Scenarios," examines the impacts of different scenarios on the regions forest dynamics. In 2024, I was a recipient of a Level B Industrial Technological Development Grant from CNPq, working within the Brazilian Research Network on Global Climate Change (Rede Clima). I have also collaborated with the National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (Cemaden) and INPA, focusing on mapping and modeling future scenarios for logging activities in the Amazon. My expertise includes analyzing and processing remote sensing data, with an emphasis on deforestation patterns, land occupation trajectories, the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), and spatial dynamic modeling of deforestation using Dinamica-EGO software. I have experience with geographic information systems for spatiotemporal analyses in the Amazon and programming in R and Python for data analysis, visualization, process automation, and statistical modeling. In 2021, I participated in field missions in the Amazon to identify areas under selective logging and deforestation pressure and to collect data for validating remote sensing products. During my undergraduate studies, I worked in the Department of Phytopathology at UFLA, specializing in Forest Pathology. In 2018, I interned at the Cooperative of Small Agroforestry Producers of the RECA Project (Porto Velho - RO), supporting technical assistance in monitoring the Carbon Project, implementing agroecological practices, and promoting organic production. I also have experience in rural extension, working with small-scale farmers in the Lavras-MG region through the implementation and maintenance of Agroforestry Systems. Additionally, I was a member of the Yebá Ervas Matos Agroecology Study Group (2016-2019), gaining experience in social technology, participatory methodologies, and bioconstruction.
