I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Laboratory of Genetic Diversity and Breeding at the University of São Paulo (USP-Esalq). My research focuses on understanding biodiversity and food systems through population genomics for the improvement of tropical crops, natural resource governance, and climate resilience, with an emphasis on the Global South (Central America and Brazil). I hold a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology (genomics and plant breeding) from the Institute of Biology at the University of Campinas (Unicamp). I have experience working with tropical crops such as Acrocomia aculeata (Macaúba) and other palms, as well as hops, passion fruit, common beans, and maize. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
