I am interested in using the interaction network approach to investigate problems in ecology and conservation. I am primarily interested in using spatial networks to investigate habitat use by wild animal populations and its implications for biodiversity conservation, and in using trophic networks to investigate the structure of ecological communities. I am also interested in investigating patterns and processes associated with defense strategies against predation. I have a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), a master's degree in Animal Diversity from the same institution, and a PhD in Ecology from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). I also have a bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul. I have experience teaching at the university level, curating scientific collections, working on environmental education and science popularization projects, and working in the environmental licensing process. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Movement Ecology Laboratory of the USP Institute of Biosciences, where I use spatial networks to understand the habitat use patterns of the Lear's macaw and four species of vulture in the Caatinga.
