Bruna Butke de Souza, 23, graduated in Technological Chemistry in the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2022), where she was awarded the Lavoisier Prize (CRQ-IV/SP) in recognition of her academic performance. Currently, she is a PhD student in Organic Chemistry at the same institution, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Julio Cezar Pastre. Her research work focuses on the valorization of biomass through the synthesis of aromatic compounds derived from renewable sources, with a focus on sustainable and innovative applications in the area of #8203;#8203;Organic Chemistry. Previously, she was an application laboratory intern at the company IGM Resins do Brasil (September 2022 - February 2023). Between March 2020 and August 2022, she was a scientific initiation scholarship holder (PIBIC - CNPq) under the supervision of Dr. Silvana Aparecida Rocco, focusing on the synthesis, purification and characterization of quinazolines and quinazolinones containing biological activity.
