Suzana Maria Pereira Costa

Chemistry Technician at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará, IFPA (2018). Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of São Carlos, SP (UFSCar), in 2023. Currently, she holds a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from UFSCar, in the area of #8203;#8203;biochemical processes. She worked as an intern at the company EMBRAPA Amazônia Oriental, Belém-PA (2016), at the Sustainable Systems Analysis Laboratory, where he gained experience in chemical and instrumental analyzes (gas chromatography and mid- and near-infrared spectroscopy). She worked as an intern at the company Embrapa Instrumentação Agropecuária, São Carlos-SP (2022), in the area of #8203;#8203;bioprocesses with cell cultivation, cell viability analysis, instrumental analysis and encapsulation of microorganisms with biofertilizing potential. This work focused on the development of a new biofertilizer with a source of phosphorus and fungal spores by the AgroNano Network group. It used analytical equipment such as Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). She completed level II technical training at FAPESP at the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Applied Genetics under the guidance of Professor Iran Malavazi. During this period, she carried out experiments to support the group's researchers, in addition to being responsible for preparing solutions, preparing agarose gels and SDS-PAGE, electrophoretic runs of DNA, RNA and proteins, extracting nucleic acids and proteins, carrying out PCR and RT-PCR, in addition to inocula, culture replications and maintenance of the laboratory's permanent collections and reagent stock control. Obtained fluency in English at the ASLAN language school (2016). During undergraduate studies, she participated in extension projects such as the National League of Biotechnology Academics - Polo São Carlos, the Academic Center for Biotechnology and the Synthetic Biology Club.
