Ph.D. candidate in Business Economics at Insper Institute of Education and Research, having started the program in 2020 after being admitted through the 2019 ANPEC national exam, where he ranked 53rd nationwide. He chose the Macroeconomics track and has been advised by Marcelo Rodrigues dos Santos since 2021. His research focuses on Labor Economics and Macroeconomics, with emphasis on the paper Labor Market Effects of Unemployment Insurance and UBI in Developing Economies, which has been presented at several academic conferences, as listed in the relevant section.In 2023, he was awarded a FAPESP scholarship under the Direct Ph.D. Program. In 2024, he received additional funding from FAPESP to conduct a research internship abroad (BEPE), serving as a visiting scholar at Arizona State University under the supervision of Gustavo Ventura. During his time abroad, he worked on the revision of the UBI paper, which is currently under revise and resubmit (RR) at the International Economic Review, and developed two additional papers that will compose his dissertation: (1) Entrepreneurs' Human Capital, Production Interdependence, and Income Disparities and (2) Emerging Technologies and Labor Market Polarization: Evidence from Brazil.In 2025, he was nominated by Insper and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and selected by the organizing committee to participate in the 8th Lindau Nobel Meeting in Economic Sciences, a prestigious event that brings together young researchers and Nobel Laureates to discuss contemporary economic issues.He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2016).
