CV Lattes ORCID

Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Centro de Hematologia e Hemoterapia (HEMOCENTRO)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a degree in Bioprocess and Biotechnology Engineering from the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) and is currently pursuing a doctoral project in the Medical Pathophysiology Graduate Program at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with a Doctorate Scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). His doctoral research focuses on the evaluation of novel epigenetic modulators, such as enzymatic inhibitors and PROTACs targeting Class I HDACs, investigating their effects on fetal hemoglobin production and cellular physiology in erythroid cell lines, primary hematopoietic stem cells, and animal models in the context of hemoglobinopathy treatment. During his undergraduate studies, he was a Scientific Initiation fellow in various projects, including the synthesis and characterization of photocatalysis catalysts (20172018) and the development of in vitro and in silico models to study the environmental impact on mammalian embryonic development (20192022). He was part of the Multi-User Laboratory for Biological and Molecular Biology Analyses (BioMol) at UTFPR - Dois Vizinhos, where he contributed to molecular diagnostics of COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021. In the field of technological innovation, he graduated from UTFPRs startup incubator program with a startup project focused on the production of IgY polyclonal antibodies in chicken eggs. Has experience in bioinformatics, vector development for gene editing using CRISPR-Cas9, diagnostic analyses via qPCR, and molecular biology techniques such as molecular cloning, differential expression analysis by qPCR, polyclonal antibody production and purification, and flow cytometry. He is also experienced in culturing primary and cell line models and using animal models to investigate new therapeutic molecules. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
