Igor Albuquerque Maia

I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal do Ceará (2013) and I have a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2015). In 2020 I completed my PhD in Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics from Université de Poitiers. I am currently a post-doctoral researcher and teaching assistant at the Aerodynamics Department at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA). Current research topics and interests include: aeroacoustic of turbulent flows; modeling of coherent structures and hydrodynamic instabilities in turbulent and transitional flows; flow control; reduced-order models for turbulent flows. My work combines experimental, numerical and theoretical approaches to the study of flow dynamics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
