PhD in Sciences with emphasis on Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of São Paulo (USP), where she worked on a project focused on understanding the regulatory complexity in the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PAO1), aiming to comprehend the complexity of the biofilm formation pathway, quorum sensing, and other virulence factors. Sandwich period at the University of Cambridge (UK) through the PRINT - Institutional Program of Internationalization, funded by CAPES. She holds a Master's degree in Sciences from the Cellular and Molecular Biology Program at USP, where she worked on studying the function of eukaryotic-type protein phosphatases in the physiology and virulence of the bacterium Chromobacterium violaceum. She graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar.She is interested in the study of gene regulation in bacteria and fungi, pathogen-pathogen and host-pathogen interactions, and antibiotic resistance.
