Birthplace: Brazil

Nutritionist (2017), Master in Decision and Health Models (UFPB) and PhD in Public Health Nutrition (USP), with a research internship period at Queen's University Belfast - UK. During my master's degree, I worked with statistics applied to health, specifically with the epidemiology and demography of Covid-19, focusing on the determinants of mortality from the disease and the underreporting of data by official information sources/systems. I am currently a researcher linked to the Group for Epidemiological Studies and Innovation in Food and Health (GEIAS), the National Institute of Science and Technology to Combat Hunger (INCT Combate a Fome) and Agribio-C4AI (Center for Artificial Intelligence at USP), and I work at the Laboratory to Support Epidemiological Research in Food Consumption Assessment (LACA) - School of Public Health at USP. My current research topics include population data analysis, nutritional epidemiology, food and nutritional security and sustainable development indicators, and the application of systems thinking and complex systems to the study of food consumption and food insecurity. My experience includes international/inter-institutional cooperation programs aimed at developing strategies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 2, carried out in partnership between the University of São Paulo and institutions such as the University of Exeter (UK) and the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) (USA).
