Researcher with a master?s degree in Biological Sciences from UNESP (São Paulo State University Unesp SP/Brazil), a PhD degree in Waste Management and Treatment from University of Minho (Portugal) and with a second PhD in Environmental Sciences. Currently, is developing a postdoctoral project at the Institute of Chemistry (IQ/USP) investigating and characterizing natural and artificial degradation processes (photo-oxidation) of microplastics, combining vibrational spectroscopy approaches and monitoring the evolution of the toxic potential in communities of macroinvertebrates.
