André Ballerini Horta

Gratuated in Agricultural Engineering (2009) and a master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology (2012) from the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences at UNESP, Jaboticabal Campus. PhD in Agronomy (Plant Protection) (2017) from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at UNESP, Botucatu Campus, and completed a post-doctorate internship (2018) at the Plant Protection Department of the same unit. He has experience in the area of biological control of insect pests with entomopathogens (bacteria, fungi, nematodes and viruses) and natural enemies (parasitoids and predators). Integrated the team of the High Technology Entrepreneurship Training Program (PIPE Empreendedor) of the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP) and currently works in the innovative research sector in technology-based businesses.
