My PhD thesis, supervised by Professor David Treece, offered a reinterpretation of the conservative thought of José da Silva Lisboa, the Viscount of Cairu (17561835), a key political commentator and journalist during the Brazilian Independence period, and author of numerous pamphlets and periodicals in the early nineteenth century. After completing my PhD, I was a visiting researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon, throughout 2022. Prior to my academic career, I worked as a journalist at Folha de S. Paulo until 2016, having joined the newsroom as a trainee in 2011. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
