Kenderson Gabriel Gonçalves dos Reis

Chemistry technician at the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso (IFMT). He's doing undergraduate in Agronomic Engineering at University of São Paulo Luiz de Queiroz School of Agriculture (ESALQ-USP). He was a scholarship holder under the Unified Scholarship Program (PUB) at the Department of Genetics (ESALQ-USP), working in the area of genetic improvement with an emphasis on collecting and analyzing VCU data for characters of tolerance and resistance to bedbugs in the soybean crop, as well as working on the development of white lupin genotypes for use in green manure. He also received a FAPESP scholarship from the Maize Genetic Improvement Laboratory - LGM (ESALQ-USP), where he worked on high-yield phenotyping in maize crop improvement. He also worked as coordinator of the Experimental Group on Plant Improvement Ernesto Paterniani (GEPAT) in the Genetics Department (ESALQ-USP). He was a scholarship monitor for the subject LPV0557 Production of Rice, Beans, Maize and Wheat. He also works as a researcher for the FieldCrops team (www.equipefieldcrops.com) at ESALQ-USP, which carries out research and extension work with rural producers in order to combine maximum crop productivity with minimum environmental impact, based on plant ecophysiology. As part of his international experience, he took part in an internship program in the Soil and Plant department at Oklahoma State University (OSU), working on research related to wheat crop production, and is currently doing an internship in the Entomology and Plant Pathology department at the same institution.
