PhD in Sciences in the field of Forest Resources, with a focus on Forest Ecosystem Conservation (University of São Paulo). Holds a Masters degree in Ecology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a Bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). Experienced in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applied to environmental analysis, particularly in Landscape Ecology, land use and land cover change modeling, remote sensing, and hydrological modeling. During the masters program, analyzed both forest loss and gain in an Atlantic Forest landscape home to a flagship conservation species, the golden lion tamarin, using different modeling approaches. In the PhD, focused on analyzing the hydrological impacts of deforestation through indicators of water protection and availability services, investigating how watershed physical characteristics and forest cover changes influence hydrological regimes.
