He holds a degree in Medicine from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), completed in 2004. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo, followed by residencies in Clinical Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at the Heart Institute (InCor) of the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP). During his medical residency, he undertook internships at the Cleveland Clinic and the Saint Joseph's Translational Research Institute, both in the United States. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship and PhD at Université Laval, in Quebec, Canada, defending his doctoral thesis in 2015. He currently works as a cardiologist and interventional cardiologist at InCor/FMUSP and serves as an Adjunct Professor at FMUSP. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (SBC), the São Paulo State Society of Cardiology (SOCESP), and the Brazilian Society of Hemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology (SBHCI). His main areas of research and clinical practice include valvular heart diseases, coronary artery disease, structural heart interventions, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), and coronary angioplasty.
