Birthplace: Brazil

He holds a degree in Physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (2005) and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Technology Reactors from the University of São Paulo (2011). He works in the fields of Reactor Physics, Shielding, and Monte Carlo Simulation, with participation in several nationally significant projects. He began his career by contributing to the conceptual and basic design of the Brazilian Multipurpose Reactor, particularly in Irradiation Engineering, including the design of the reflector and irradiators. Subsequently, he was involved in the Reactor Core Project, covering the core and power ramp design, as well as the development of neutron guides, focusing on the design of the guides and the cold source.Continuing his research and development activities, he participated in the Scientific and Technological Research Using Neutron Beams project, which included the infrastructure of the neutron guide hall and the development of neutron beam instruments.Later, he conducted the conceptual design of the prototype core for the Brazilian Multipurpose Reactor the second core of the IPEN/MB-01 facility and assisted in the detailed project development up to its criticality. Additionally, he contributed to the Review of the Preliminary Decommissioning Plan (PDP) for the Almirante Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Plant (CNAAA).Currently, he is a professor at the Federal University of ABC, where he leads research and projects focused on nuclear reactor development.
