Stella Pinheiro Grandin

Bachelor of Biological Sciences from Unicamp (2022). Undergraduate student in a licentiate degree in Biological Sciences at Unicamp. She completed her first Scientific Initiation at the Laboratory of Enzymology and Molecular Biology of Microorganisms (LEBIMO) at UNICAMP, in a project that aimed to genetically improve the fungus Trichoderma erinaceum in order to increase the production of lignocellulolytic enzymes, which are used in the production of second generation ethanol. She was an advisor in Sales, Projects and Human Resources at Alphabio, a junior company at the UNICAMP Biology Institute. She ffinalized a second Scientific Initiation at CPQBA\Unicamp (Multidisciplinary Center for Chemical, Biological and Agricultural Research), in a project entitled "Assessment of the entomopathogenic activity of fungal strains of the genera Metarhizium, Beauveria and Trichoderma" in the area of #8203;#8203;genetics of microorganisms. Furthermore, since June 2023 she became a FAPESP researcher with a TT-3 scholarship in a project entitled "Morphological, molecular and functional characterization of microorganisms of interest for application in the environment and industry", under the guidance of professor. Dr. Derlene Attili de Angelis. She has practical laboratory experience with PCR, genetic sequencing, DNA extraction, construction of genetic vectors, enzymatic digestion, enzymatic assays, microorganisms and cell culture growth. Her main interests are in the areas of genetics, molecular biology and microbiology. She has the 4 English proficiency skills certified by the Unicamp Language Teaching Center (listening, speaking, reading and writing), having obtained level C1, corresponding, according to CEL, to "Effective, Proficient and Advanced" skills in the English language.
