I am graduated in Animal Science in Brazil, at "Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná - UTFPR". Then, I started a master at the "Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC" in Brazil, addressing the effects of silvopastoral systems on thermal comfort and behavior of dairy cattle kept under rotational and alternative grazing systems. Afterward, I completed my Ph.D. at the "Universidade Federal do Paraná - UFPR", focused on livestock precision farming and the relationships of the thermal environment with social behavior, and its effects on cattle welfare, as reflected by the different ways thermal comfort acquisition in the silvopastoral system. I am professor and research at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, São Paulo State University, Botucatu, São Paulo, Brazil and coordinator since 2022 of the Dairy Cattle Study Group (Unesp Botucatu) and Biometeorology Study Group (UTFPR/DV). My major research interests and experience include precision livestock farming, climatology of agroforestry systems, applied ethology, animal welfare, and animal bioclimatology with an emphasis on dairy cattle.
