Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology, with an emphasis on Immunology, from the University of Campinas (Unicamp) Campinas, Brazil (2024).Research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cancer cytogenetics, as well as the study of cytoadhesion phenomena in Plasmodium vivax gametocytes, using ex vivo assays and infection studies in the Anopheles aquasalis mosquito vector. Engaged in the discovery of potential antimalarial drugs, employing in silico approaches, as well as evaluating antiplasmodial activity in in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models of Plasmodium spp..Currently leading the project "Plasmodium Nima/NEK-1 protein: a potential target for malaria control and the identification of quinazoline-2,4-diamine analogs with potent antimalarial activity across multiple Plasmodium spp. stages."
