The person described holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal Fluminense University (2009), a master's degree (2010), and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Institute, IOC-FIOCRUZ/RJ (2014). They have experience in experiments in the fields of Immunology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, with an emphasis on Cellular Immunology. Their main areas of focus include T lymphocytes, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, integrins, microRNAs, viral infections, HTLV-1, thymic epithelial cells, thymus, next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, genome editing through non-viral vectors such as transposons, CRISPR-Cas9, and integrases.Currently, they work as a researcher at ICESP and as a collaborating professor at the University of São Paulo Medical School, where they mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students. Their projects are centered around in silico experiments, construction, and management of clinical and molecular databases in REDCap, predictive modeling based on machine learning, mathematical modeling of oncology therapies, analysis of germline and somatic variants in cancer. In the field of cancer immunotherapy, in addition to in silico analyses, they coordinate and collaborate on projects involving the generation of new designs for CAR (Chimeric Antigen Receptor) for CAR-T cells and therapeutic vaccines based on viruses.
