He is an Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, assigned to the School of Science and Technology. He began his academic career at 21 years old, after a period of professional experience in High School education. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics (2000), a Teaching Degree in Physics (2004), a Master's in Nuclear Physics (2002), and a PhD in Nuclear Physics (2006) from Fluminense Federal University. He completed a sandwich doctorate (2005) and post-doctoral research (2008) in Physics at the University of Coimbra, and another post-doctoral research (2009) in Physics at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics. He has experience in the field of Physics, with emphasis on Nuclear Structure, Relativistic Nuclear Physics, and Fortran/Python programming. His main areas of focus include: Dirac equation, pseudospin symmetry, isospin asymmetry, relativistic harmonic oscillator, finite nucleus with temperature, charge conjugation, chiral symmetry, nuclear pairing, and Dirac-Hartree-Bogoliubov approximation. He is a member of the Graduate Programs of the National Professional Master's in Physics Teaching (SBF). In recent years, he has dedicated himself to research on new methodologies and technologies for teaching physics in the Bachelor of Science and Technology program at UFRN.
