He holds a Master's degree in Mathematics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (1987) and a PhD in Mathematical Economics from the Associação Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (1995). He is currently a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Accounting at the University of São Paulo. He is the leader of the research group Núcleo de Estudos em Teoria Econômica, certified in the CNPq Research Groups Directory. He is also an Associate Researcher at the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (Research School of Economics, Australian National University) and a member of the International Network on Expectational Coordination (Collège de France, Institute for New Economic Thinking). His areas of interest include Mathematical Economics and Economic Theory. He has national and international publications in Economic Dynamics, Game Theory, General Equilibrium (theoretical and applied), and Finance. He has also worked as a consultant for institutions such as IPEA, BNDES, IDB, CEPAL, and FIPE. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
