Has experience in History of Science, researching in the following areas: Evolutionary Paleoecology, History of Science, Ecological/Environmental History, Natural History. He has a long career as science reporter, working at the science desk of major Brazilian newsmagazines, such as ISTOÉ magazine (editor of science, 1993-2000) and Época magazine (editor-at-large, 2008-2013).
