Ana Clara Amato is a visual artist, using mainly photomechanical processes and photography as a language. His works seek to question history considered official, challenging its linearity from a gender perspective and using the crossings of memory as a poetic construction. She is a member and founder of Coletivo Avuá, which seeks to give new meaning to public spaces through performing, visual and audiovisual arts. She has a master's degree in Languages, media and art from Puc-Campinas with a Fapesp scholarship, she also has a postgraduate degree in Photography from the Raffles Milano Institute in Milan (IT) and a degree from Faculdade Cásper Líbero in Journalism. In 2023 he participated in the exhibition Chão Comum no Canteiro, Reminiscências no Instituto Goethe, How long do we have? at Edifício Virgínia, Nova Fotografia 10 years at Paço das Artes and What is built in this knowing how to live together? at the Art and Research Gallery (GAP) of the Federal University of Espírito Santo. In 2022, he participated in the Zum Festival Photobook Fair in partnership with Coletivo Mulheres Luz and in the São Paulo Design Week (DW!), together with Coletivo Avuá, with the installation Casa de Dentro. In 2020, it was awarded by Proac/Unprecedented visual arts exhibitions, with the virtual exhibition Estrutura Bruta. In 2019, she won the New Photography Award at the Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo, where she held the Origami exhibition. In 2018, she participated in an artistic residency in Copenhagen with the TeaterKunst group and in the collective exhibition Immagini in comune at the Photolux International Photography Biennial in Luca (IT) and Giovani Sguardi on Via Dante in the center of Milan. In 2017, she was director of the documentary Kariri: Travessia da Cultura, shown on the Fecoplay (Sesc) platform and #Culturaemcasa from the São Paulo Department of Culture. Along with the Collective, he lectures at the Urban Connection and Reframing Spaces as Stage Power Workshops, held at the Centro Cultural Banco do Nordeste Cariri (CE), Sesc Bodocó (PE), Sesc Fortaleza (CE), Sesc Triunfo (PE), among others. cultural centers. In 2019, she was awarded the Nova Fotografia Award from the São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound, where she held the exhibition The Future of Photography, curated by Mônica Maia.
