Graduated in Medicine from the Botucatu School of Medicine (FMB) of the São Paulo State University (UNESP), a Medical Residency in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology also from FMB - UNESP, a Specialist Title in Pediatrics (TEP) from the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB) and the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP) and a doctorate from the Postgraduate Program in Anesthesiology of FMB - UNESP. She completed two postdoctoral studies in Spain: the first, from 2023 to 2024, in Pediatric Pain, with a scholarship from the Coimbra Group, at the University of Salamanca (USAL); the second, from 2024 to 2025, in Pediatric Pain and Technologies, with a scholarship from CNPq Brazil, at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. At the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (DMed), coordinator of the Specialization in Palliative Care, Advisor to the Academic League of Analgesic Therapy and Palliative Care (LATACP), and Leader of the CNPq Research Group - Center for Studies in Pain and Palliative Care. She is a professor of the Master's program in Palliative Care at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing of the Catholic University of Portugal, in Lisbon. She was part of the 2019/2020 Board of Directors of the National Academy of Palliative Care (ANCP), is secretary of the Scientific Center for Palliative Care and Pain of the São Paulo Pediatric Society (SPSP), full member of the Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP), active member of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), one of the founders of the Lusophone Group of Pediatric Palliative Care and one of the founders, as well as director, of the Brazilian Network of Pediatric Palliative Care (RBCPPed).
